Hi I’m Brittany! Thank you for checking out my webpage! :) I hope you will pull up a chair, fix some coffee and stay awhile! It is my hope that you will find this site as a source of encouragement and inspiration for your soul! I not only sing and write songs, I enjoy writing blogs and devotionals too! What can I say, when something touches my heart, I love to share it with others! Here are a few things about me and what I do. Thanks again for visiting! :)
Brittany Morse is a singer, songwriter, and fiddle player from Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was saved at a young age and has had a deep love for Jesus ever since she can remember. Brittany grew up in a Southern Baptist Church, was always very active within her youth group and was heavily influenced by Contemporary Christian Music. She believes that this has contributed greatly to her faith-walk, as well as the style of music that she continues to develop within her own songs. By combining beautiful melodies and faith-based lyrics, she hopes to encourage others in their own relationships with God. Contemporary Christian Music has done that for her throughout her life, and she would love to be able to turn around and do that for someone else, as God leads. In addition to Contemporary Christian Music, Bluegrass and Country Music have also played an important role in Brittany’s life. During her high school years, she was introduced to bluegrass and to the fiddle after hearing an Alison Krauss cd that was given to her. She was immediately hooked and began learning how to play the fiddle and continued on to cover a lot of Alison’s songs After high school, she moved to East TN and earned a Business & Organizational Management degree from Maryville College in Maryville, TN. Some of the most memorable and rewarding experiences during this season of her life, include working at Dollywood and playing the fiddle and singing in the Elwood Smooch’s Ole Smoky Hoedown show on the Pigeon Forge strip. She was also a fiddle player for the Smoky Mountain Cowboy Church and played a lot of music around town for tourists, learning from some of the best bluegrass musicians around. As she’s grown in her walk with Christ and also as a singer, God has given her many opportunities to share her faith through music, via songwriting and recording, radio airplay, online streaming services, social media and live performances, which include anything from festivals to leading worship at church. She has also begun speaking at women’s conferences, as the Lord leads. She also continues to write blogs and develop devotionals that will hopefully inspire and impact the world around her. It is her goal to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in everything she does and spread the love of Christ using any open door that the Lord provides, whether it’s through music, writing, speaking engagements or by any other means. Brittany has been married to her husband, Brandon Morse, for 11 years, and together, they have two boys (2 & 7 years of age). With the support of her husband and the strong call of God, Brittany recently left her nearly 11-year career with the Social Security Administration in order to focus her time and attention on her family by becoming a stay-at-home mom, while also allowing time to cultivate new opportunities that the Lord has given her. She believes that when you take care of what the Lord has given you to do, He will provide in every way. Brittany says that this lesson has been rooted deeply into her heart, especially during this season, because she and her family have been living out Matthew 6:33 in very real ways, “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” She says that God has been found faithful in every way, and knows that He can be fully trusted wherever He leads. Brittany often refers to this act of faith using the phrase, “God’s Plan, God’s Purpose, God’s Provision.” She jokingly states that this will be on a t-shirt some day! In closing of this “almost short” bio, Brittany wants to add that she is so grateful for all of the support from so many that have allowed her music to thrive over the past few years! It takes not only a village, but an ARMY of support for songs and messages to get off the ground and into peoples’ hearts. She will forever be grateful to all those that had a hand in these first projects, and is looking forward to releasing more songs very soon! There really are no words to express her gratitude towards the Good Lord above, for all He’s done for her and her family over the years. She recognizes that “Every good and perfect gift is from above,” (James 1:17), including the opportunity to sing at the 2022 ICMA Award Show. She hopes the hearts of all those in attendance will be touched by the music and message of the song. She wants to thank the ICMA for every nomination she’s been given in the past and for the opportunity to become a part of the show this year - God is Good! |
